LOCAL TRANSPORT

The hotel ibis Styles Zurich City is within walking distance from Zurich HB
(main train station). Exiting the station from Landesmuseum, you cross the
Limmat river and walk up the steep Walchestrasse and it's on the right, just
past Stampfenbachplatz tram stop.

Take the free eLink shuttle bus from the Haldenegg stop. To get to Haldenegg,
walk up the steps beside the hotel and turn right up Sumatrastrasse. The stop
is across the junction. The bus comes at 9.13am. From the bus stop at ETH,
turn back past the building site to the HIT building on the left. We will be
in the room E41.1 on the ground floor on the right.

If you want to take public transport more than twice in one day (aside from
the eLink) it may be worth purchasing at 24h ticket, which is CHF5.60 for the
city centre zone.


COLLABORATION DINNER

We will eat in Afghan Anar restaurant located near Limmatplatz on Monday 29.01
at 7.30pm. Some of us will travel directly there from ETH. There will be
sharing plates with vegetarian options. Please let me know if have any other
dietary requirements that you did not already fill out on the registration
form.


REIMBURSEMENT

Please return the form sent by the ITP secretary Stefanie Matosevic with your
bank details to receive a CHF50 per diem to cover your day to day costs.


ROAMING CHARGES

Note that Switzerland is not covered by the standard EU roaming arrangements.
Check with your network provider about charges before activating mobile data.
Many providers offer add-on packages which might cover non-EU states for a
reasonable price. There is limited free wifi in the main train station but no
coverage on public transport itself.
